It's been reported that Miura Haruma's starring film 'Tengaramon' will be released on December 11.
Set from the Bakumatsu to the early Meiji Period, 'Tengaramon' depicts the life of 'Godai Tomoatsu' (Miura), a Meiji government officer from the Satsuma domain, who became a businessman and laid the foundation for Osaka to become a commercial city. Besides Miura, the movie stars Miura Shohei as 'Sakamoto Ryoma,' Nishikawa Takanori (T.M. Revolution) as 'Iwasaki Yataro' who built the Mitsubishi Zaibatsu, and Morinaga Yuki as the first Prime Minister of Japan, 'Ito Hirobumi.'
In addition, Renbutsu Misako plays Godai's wife 'Toyoko,' and Namase Katsuhisa and Tsutsui Mariko play Godai's parents. The script was written by Komatsu Eriko, and the movie directed by Tanaka Mitsubishi.
Miura Shohei commented, "Before we started filming, Haruma and I would read through the script many times together. He built a relationship between Godai Tomoatsu, Ito Hirobumi, and Iwasaki Yataro so that he could play his role to the fullest in a new and exciting way." He continued, "I pray that he [Miura Haruma] will watch it together with Godai-san in Heaven."
