It's been announced that Shibasaki Kou will be participating in the movie project 'MIRRORLIAR FILMS' and will be making her debut as a movie director through this project.  

'MIRRORLIAR FILMS' is a project that was launched by mirroRliar, a service that started in 2017 to support actors. The objective is to create a film by gathering a variety of actors both young and veteran, major and independent. A total of 36 creators will work to create a 4-season anthology film. Season one is scheduled to open in 50 theaters nationwide next summer with seasons two, three, and four following every 3 months afterward. The project's concept movie can be seen below.

Besides Shibasaki, Abe Shinnosuke, Ando Masanobu, Igashi Aya, Kiriya Kazuaki, Shison Jun, Nozaki Hirotaka, Fukunaga Takeshi, Fujii Michihito, Mizukawa Asami, Yamashita Nobuhiro, and Yamada Takayuki will be participating as directors.
