Stardust Promotion has announced that actress Takeuchi Yuko's funeral was held with her family on September 30. 

They wrote on their official website, "Regarding our company's Takeuchi Yuko (age of death, 40), who passed away on September 27, a family funeral was held today upon discussion with her family. To the many persons that she's worked with over the years, and to her fans who have always supported her, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for your kindness during her lifetime. On behalf of the deceased, we would like to thank you for blessing her with everyone's love and wonderful occurrences which were irreplaceable experiences and joy."

They continued, "Our talents and employees are still in shock at this sudden and unbelievable happening. They are unable to accept this situation, and can't express enough sympathy. However, to our company, Takeuchi Yuko will eternally be an irreplaceable and important actress. We will continue to embrace her being."

Finally, they stated, "Due to heavy media coverage around her home, and of parents and relatives, the lifestyles and privacy of family and neighbors are being harmed and burdened. The family has small children, so please consider their heartache, and refrain from excessive coverage and publishing slanderous articles. We ask that you watch over them warmly. Please also refrain from offering flowers. We are grateful for your thoughts."
