
Yokohama Ryusei has won the Asian Star Prize at the '15th Seoul International Drama Awards.'
The Asian Star Prize is awarded to actors with great influence who have been active in the Asia region. Yokohama received the prize for his role as 'Nikaido Shinobu' in the drama 'Anata no Ban desu' ('Your Turn to Kill'). This drama has attracted attention not only in Japan, but in South Korea as well.
The awards ceremony was held on September 15, and Yokohama commented via video message, "I feel honored to receive this wonderful prize called the Asian Star Prize. This is my first time winning a prize overseas, so I am very surprised. I feel so happy that this work that was created together with the staff and cast has been approved not only in Japan, but also by people overseas."
Yokohama currently stars in the drama 'Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru', which airs every Wednesday on NTV. He is also set to star in the movie 'Kimi no Me ga Toikakete Iru' with Yoshitaka Yuriko to open in theaters on October 23.
