
Johnny’s & Associates has announced that they have terminated their contract with Johnny’s Jr. unit Uchuu Six member Yamamoto Ryota on October 1 after ‘Bunshun Online’ reported that he was gambling at an unlicensed slot parlor.
On October 2, the agency wrote on their official website, “This is an announcement regarding our company’s Johnny’s Jr.’s Yamamoto Ryota (Uchuu Six) whom some media outlets reported on today. We sincerely apologize for the worries and troubles caused to his fans as well as persons concerned who are always supporting him.”
They announced, “At this time, it was confirmed that Yamamoto seriously breached his contract by committing gambling acts at a slot parlor. As such, our company has terminated his contract as of yesterday. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this sudden announcement.”
