On October 22, Okamura Takashi (50) of comedian duo Ninety-nine made a live appearance on Nippon Broadcast's 'Ninety-nine no All-Night Nippon' and announced his marriage.
Okamura announced, "I am going to make a straightforward announcement. I got married." While he and his wife have already registered their marriage on October 10, he had planned to make the announcement live on the radio as he wanted to announce it to his listeners first.
Reportedly, the two met about ten years ago. They went out to dinner a few times as friends, and before they knew it, they were dating. They became especially close over the past six months.
After his announcement, Okamura responded to some questions from his listeners. Apparently, they are currently in a situation where they can't completely live together yet, so they are taking turns going to each other's homes. He calls her by her first same with '-san,' while she calls him "Okachin."
