On October 10, the second generation members of NMB48 held a live at NMB48 Theater where member Murase Sae announced that she would be graduating from the group.
At the end of the live, Murase announced, “Ever since joining NMB48 at 14 years old, everyday for the past nine and a half years have been very fulfilling. Today I have an announcement for everyone. I, Murase Sae, will graduate from NMB48.”
There were originally 23 second generation members who passed the audition back in May of 2011, but now, there are only five members left including Murase. She reflected, “During the second generation members’ first live, I was dancing all the way in the back. In spite of this, I never gave up because I didn’t want to lose. I became stronger to make it this far.” She added, “NMB48 is my youth!”
On her reason for graduating, she explained, “I was able to find what I want to do next. I want to jump out from here, and challenge myself in a new place. My environment will completely change, but I will not disappear from everyone. In order to carry out activities that everyone can continue to enjoy, I have made the resolve to leave for this second chapter.”
Murase’s graduation date has not been set yet. She commented, “Until my last day as an idol, I will do my best and give it my all as NMB48’s Murase Sae.”
