THE ALFEE's new song "Joker-Nemuranai Machi-" will be used as the theme song for TV Tokyo's drama series 'Kioku Sousa 2: Shinjuku Higashi-sho Jiken File' to premiere on October 23. 

'Kioku Sousa 2: Shinjuku Higashi-sho Jiken File' is a suspense drama that revolves around Onizuka Ichiro (played by Kitaoji Kinya), a detective who solves difficult cases using his familiarity of the city of Shinjuku and his memories. "Joker-Nemuranai Machi-" is described as a composed ballad number that was written just for the drama. It's been about 6 years since the band was last in charge of a drama's theme song. 

THE ALFEE leader Takamizawa Toshihiko commented, "We wrote this song with the concept 'a song of hope for the future.' Going into our debut 50th anniversary, I think it turned out to be a song that we can continue to sing for a very long time." The song will be released as a CD single this winter.
