It's been reported that actress Kawakami Maiko (54) has been infected with the novel coronavirus. 

While in Osaka for work on November 6th, Kawakami had a fever of about 38°C (100.4°F). Around the same time, her friend had just tested positive for COVID-19. Afterwards, she received a call from Tokyo's health center saying that she had been identified as a person of close contact. She took the PCR test on the 7th, which came back positive on the 11th. 

Kawakami's condition is currently stable, and her quarantine period as set by the health center will soon come to an end. Her agency stated, "We have caused a great deal of inconvenience to persons concerned, but we kindly ask for your understanding."
