Ieiri Leo's new song "Sora to Ao" has been picked up as the theme song for NTV's upcoming drama 'Uchi no Musume wa, Kareshi ga Dekinai!!' (premieres January 2021). 

An original screenplay by Kitagawa Eriko, the drama will revolve around a romance novelist and single mother named Minase Aoi (played by Kanno Miho) and her daughter Sora (Hamabe Minami) who has no experience in love. The theme song was written by Kitagawa and composed by [Alexandros]'s Kawakami Yohei who will be making his drama debut with this work. 

When this collaboration was first decided, Ieiri says she coincidentally ran into Kawakami on the street, "At that time, I felt an invisible flow, and though that I should sing exactly as my heart feels." Meanwhile, Kitagawa commented, "Yohei-san's melody and Ieiri-san's singing voice are both unique. I felt that my lyrics should be that way as well." Finally, Kawakami said, "I read Kitagawa-san's script, and listened to Leo-san's CD all night while driving. When I soaked myself in their essence, I had a song before I knew it." 

"Sora to Ao" will be released as Ieiri's new single on January 20.
