It's been reported that actor Arata Mackenyu (24) will be ending his contract with his agency TOPCOAT at the end of April, and shift his activities overseas. 

Arata was born on November 16, 1999, in Los Angeles. He started his entertainment activities in Japan in 2014 starring in movies such as 'Chihayafuru' and musicals such as 'Hanayori Dango The Musical.' In 2017, he won 'Newcomer of the Year' at the '40th Japan Academy Prize.' Then in May that same year, he changed his stage name from 'Mackenyu' to 'Arata Mackenyu.' His father is actor Chiba Shinichi. 

According to persons concerned, Arata decided to end his contract as he will be participating in a work overseas.
