On December 14, actor Ozawa Ren's agency announced that his contract has been terminated after DV allegations toward his ex-girlfriend were reported by 'Bunshun Online.' 

They stated, "After some reports were published today, we did a fact check with him, and confirmed that what had been mentioned in the articles were true. Considering the seriousness of the situation, we have decided to terminate his contract as of today." They also apologized, "To the woman involved, we deeply apologize from the bottom of our hearts." 

'Bunshun Online' reported that Ozawa had abused his ex-girlfriend and forced her to have an abortion, which ultimately led to her suicide attempt. 

Ozawa's agency continued, "To all persons concerned and fans who support him, we apologize for the great deal of inconvenience and worries caused at this time." They mentioned that they would do their best to provide thorough instruction to their employees and artists to prevent similar incidents from happening.
