It's been reported that artist Aoyagi Kaoru has passed away. 

This was announced by Aoyagi's family via her official Twitter account. "It would make us happy if you would keep the many works she's created in the corner of your hearts. Thank you very much," they wrote. 

Aoyagi is known for providing artwork to singer-songwriter Oomori Seiko. Oomori expressed, "The digital jacket for my new song 'stolen worlD' [seen above] has become Aoyagi Kaoru's posthumous work. Kao was so beautiful, a perfectionist with ideal and ability, but at the same time, she was so silly. It makes me so mad that it's [the artwork] so beautiful!"

Oomori's new song "stolen worID," which features Aoyagi's illustration for its digital artwork, will be released on December 9.
