Hirosue Ryoko's new song "Kimi no Egao," written and composed by Takeuchi Mariya, was released digitally on December 4.
Takeuchi wrote "Kimi no Egao" for Hirosue to sing on NHK's 'Minna no Uta.' She was inspired by Hirosue's words during a past interview when she said, "I believe in the saying that 'the more a person smiles, the more that person understands one's pain and suffering.' I love being in places where people are smiling. I live in order to make everyone smile." The two have previously worked together about 23 years ago when Takeuchi wrote and composed Hirosue's debut song "Maji de Koi suru 5-byo mae."
On the song, Takeuchi commented, "I feel very happy to work with her again in music since her debut about 23 years ago. I hope that our feelings that we put into this song will reach many people's hearts." Meanwhile, Hirosue said, "I think it's a song that will bring warm feelings to people, save people, and become medicine for everyone. I hope many people will cheer up by listening to it."
"Kimi no Egao" will be used in 'Minna no Uta' from December to January.
