On December 22nd, Johnny's & Associates announced via their official website that Kazama Shunsuke (37) has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Johnny's, Kazama had a fever of 37.1°C (98.78°F) and had lost his voice on the morning of the 22nd. After taking the PCR test, he was confirmed positive for the virus. He is currently recuperating and will be following up with the health center.

As persons of close contact are identified, they will be notified and asked to follow the instructions of the health center. 

Kazama currently stars in NHK's Taiga drama 'Kirin ga Kuru' and Fuji TV's Getsu-9 drama 'Kansatsui Asagao.'
