It's been announced that MUCC drummer SATO will be leaving the band in spring of 2021. 

SATO is an original member of MUCC since they formed in 1997. Not only will he be leaving the band, but he plans to retire from music as well. SATO revealed that he told the other members about his withdrawal back in May. "Please understand that I do not hate MUCC. Thank you to the members who continued to treat me the same after I expressed my intention to leave. In my own way, I have done everything I can. I have no regrets," he said. SATO's official withdrawal date will be announced later.

MUCC's upcoming one-man live 'Aku-The brightness world' that's scheduled to be held on December 27 at Nippon Budokan will be SATO's last Budokan live.
