
SUPER☆GiRLS leader Watanabe Koume has announced her graduation from the group.
This announcement was made on December 22 during the encore of the group's debut tenth anniversary live at KT Zepp Yokohama. On stage, Watanabe revealed, "This is what I've always been doing, so my decision to graduate from this group makes me sad, but I decided take a new step forward and do my best." Afterward, she performed her new song "Bloom," which she wrote while thinking about the members.
Watanabe has been in showbiz since she was in elementary school focusing her activities in her hometown of Sendai. She then joined SUPER☆GiRLS as a second generation member in February of 2014. She became their fifth leader in 2018 and has been leading the group after all first generation members graduated.
