Comedian duo THE TOUCH (Takuya, Kazuya) have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19, their agency HoriPro com announced on December 22nd.
They explained, "The two of them started with a light cough at night on the 19th, then had a low-grade fever on the evening of the 20th. Their fever had gone up the following morning, so they took the antigen test at a hospital in Tokyo, where it was confirmed positive. They have also taken the PCR test and the results aren't out yet, but they have both been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus." They are still experiencing a cough and fever, and they're quarantining at home.
On December 22nd, Kazuya wrote on Twitter, "I would like to announce that we, THE TOUCH, have both been confirmed positive after taking the coronavirus test. We both started having cold-like symptoms at the same time on the night of the 19th. We were worried, so we informed our agency and got tested at the hospital. Right now, we are continuing to have low-grade fevers and a cough, but we have an appetite so we are okay. We apologize for the inconvenience."
