Utada Hikaru has provided her new song "One Last Kiss" as the theme song for the movie 'EVANGELION:3.0 +1.0 Thrice Upon A Time' to open in theaters on January 23.

'EVANGELION:3.0 +1.0 Thrice Upon A Time' is the final installment of the 'Rebuild of Evangelion' movie series. It was originally scheduled for release this June, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Utada has been in charge of the theme song for every movie in the series since 'EVANGELION:1.0 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE' which was released in 2007.

To commemorate the end of the series, all songs that Utada provided for the 'Rebuild of Evangelion' movie series will be released on CD and vinyl on January 27. Besides "One Last Kiss," it will include "Beautiful World," which was the theme song for 'EVANGELION:1.0 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE,' and "Sakura Nagashi," the theme song for 'Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.' The jacket covers utilize the original illustrations of 'Evangelion' characters Ikari Shinji and Ayanami Rei that was actually used in the movie series. Prior to the CD release, "One Last Kiss" will be available for download on January 24.

In addition, a special webpage commemorating the singer's 22nd debut anniversary has been launched. The webpage features playlists consisting of 22 songs selected by persons from various industries. Fans can also submit their playlists with the hashtag "#hikaruutada22" for a chance to win a "One Last Kiss" clear file.
