On January 4th, Horipro announced that actor Takeda Shinji has been infected with COVID-19.

Takeda first broke out with a fever on New Year's Eve, so he had been resting at home. His symptoms continued on January 2nd, so he took the antigen test and was confirmed positive for the virus. Currently, his condition has stabilized and is recuperating at home. His wife Shizuka Manami and two other persons have been determined to be in close contact with him.
