On January 26, former SKE48 member and talent Sato Mieko (34) updated her Twitter account announcing that she is pregnant with her first baby. 

Sato tweeted, "As I announced earlier on the radio, I am expecting my first baby. I am anxious since this is my first pregnancy amid the coronavirus disaster, but I hope to spend each day calmly until I meet my baby. It would make me happy if you would watch over me warmly. Please continue to support me."

Sato made her debut in showbiz as SKE48's first generation member and was known as the older sister among the members. After graduating in March of 2015, she has been working out of the Tokai area aiming to become a talent loved by everyone from children to the elderly. She married a non-celebrity man in November of 2017.
