Johnny's & Associates have announced that they will be putting an age limit on Johnny's Jr.'s activities.

According to an announcement on Johnny's & Associates' official website, starting from 2023, members who have turned 22 years old will have until March 31 to come into an agreement with Johnny's & Associates to continue their activities in Johnny's Jr. If mutual agreement is not reached, their activities will come to an end. 

Johnny's stated, "While in a blessed environment, there were concerns that the Johnny's Jr. members, who are at the age when they reach a crossroad in their lives, would have a difficult time determining their appropriate career paths." 

They also explained that this gives the members an opportunity to reevaluate their goal of debuting as an idol/talent, and ensure that each member is making appropriate career decisions. 

Groups and members who will be over 22 when this system goes into effect have already come into mutual agreement with Johnny's & Associates in regards to resuming their Johnny's Jr. activities.
