It's been announced that Kanjani8 member Yokoyama Yu has tested positive for COVID-19.

On the morning of January 3rd, Yokoyama had a fever of 38℃ (100.4°F) and a sore throat, so he took the PCR test which confirmed him to be positive for the virus. He will be devoting himself to treatment under instruction from the health center.

After Yokoyama's positive diagnosis, the other members of Kanjani8 as well as the managers in charge were tested on January 4th. While the other members' results came back negative, two managers were also diagnosed with COVID-19. According to the announcement, contact tracing has been done and no one, including the Kanjani8 members, have been considered to be persons of close contact.
