Yoshimoto Kogyo announced on January 9th that Shizu-chan (41), also known as Yamazaki Shizuyo, of comedian duo Nankai Candies has been diagnosed with COVID-19. 

According to their website, Shizu-chan had a fever on the evening of the 6th so she took the PCR test which came back positive on the 7th. She is currently recuperating at home. 

Reportedly, no one has been identified as a person of close contact.
