It's been announced that A.B.C-Z have started a new project called 'Z PROJECT.' 

On February 1, 2022, the boys will celebrate ten years since releasing their debut DVD "Za ABC~5stars~." A project announcement video has been uploaded onto YouTube which reflects on the group's career with a message from the late Johnny Kitagawa saying "I am a fan of A.B.C-Z." At the end of the video, it was announced that they would release a new single (currently untitled) provided by TAKURO (GLAY) this spring, release their first best-of album in 2022, and have a year-round collaboration with Tower Records. 

For the Tower Records collaboration, A.B.C-Z will be the first male idol to appear on their 'NO MUSIC, NO IDOL?' project. All Tower Records stores will also display a poster to coincide with the new single's release.
