It's been reported that director and actor Honda Makoto, who was battling pancreatic cancer, passed away on January 30. He was 47 years old. 

On February 4, Honda's agency Clione Inc. announced via their official website, "We humbly announce that our company's artist Honda Makoto, who had been battling cancer for some time, passed away on January 30, 2021 at the age of 47." They continued, "We are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported Honda Makoto until now and to all persons that he's worked with over the years." 

Honda was born on January 30, 1974 in Miyazaki Prefecture. Not only was he an actor who belonged to Gekidan Petekan, but was a director as well. He's starred in dramas, such as NHK's 'Hagetaka,' Fuji TV's 'Densha Otoko,' and TBS's 'Masshiro.'
