On February 2, former SDN48 member Kojo Seara announced via YouTube that she is pregnant with her second child.

Kojo married a non-celebrity man in August of 2019, then announced her first pregnancy on April 30, 2020. She gave birth to her daughter on September 26. 

In the video, she announced, "I'm currently three months postpartum, but I'm actually pregnant again. I'm even surprised myself." She wasn't feeling well recently, so she thought that she had contracted COVID-19. When she went to get a PCR test, she found out that she was pregnant. 

It appears Kojo actually became pregnant when she was around two months postpartum. "I'm going to be giving birth [to my second child] before my daughter turns one. Which means that I will go through two childbirths in one year," she said. 

Kojo revealed that she felt anxious as there are risks to having two babies in one year. However, she felt reassured after consulting a midwife that she respects. She explained, "I'm not in my second trimester yet, so something scary might happen hereafter. However, I think these types of instances are rare, so I wanted to make an announcement hoping that it will become information for people in the same situation, or people who want their children close in age."
