On February 1, actor Hongo Kanata uploaded a video onto his YouTube channel refuting rumors regarding his eating habits that have been spreading online.

Through his channel 'Hongo Kanata no Nichijou,' Hongo has been sharing his hobbies such as video game commentary and Gundam plastic models. In his latest video, he shared items that he bought from the Pokemon Center which he visits frequently. 

Among the items was a soup cup to which he commented, "Don't you think that it would be wonderful to eat pot-au-feu from this?" He added, "So, people have been saying online that Hongo Kanata only eats gummy candy and potato chips, but I do eat meals. There is no way I would just eat gummies and potato chips. I would die." 

In the past, Hongo appeared on a variety program that gave coverage of his private life. At that time, he didn't have much interest in eating meals, but only ate gummy candy and potato chips, which were his favorite foods.
