Ishihara Satomi and Ayano Go have been cast in NTV's new drama 'Koi wa Deep ni' to premiere in April.
'Koi wa Deep ni' is a love story that portrays the "forbidden love" between Nagisa Mio (Ishihara), an oceanographer who loves the ocean and fish, and Hasuda Rintaro (Ayano), the son of a prominent family who just returned from London. Mio wants to stop the development of a giant marine resort that Rintaro has been put in charge of, but the two end up falling in love.
The drama's script will be written by Tokuo Koji ('Ossans Love' and 'Watashi no Kaseifu Nagisa-san'), and it will be directed by Suzuki Yuma ('Tokyo Tarareba Musume 2020').
On working together with Ishihara for the first time, Ayano commented, "While she is sincere toward her work and has persuasive power, she is also charming. Both myself and everyone on set have been wrapped up by her ever-changing charms, and falling in love." Meanwhile, Ishihara stated, "The moment I heard Ayano Go-san's name, I thought, 'Oh good! It would be easy to fall in love with him!'"
