Kato Shigeaki's (NEWS) novel 'Alternate' has been nominated for the 42nd 'Yoshikawa Eiji Literary Prize for New Writers.'

The 'Yoshikawa Eiji Literary Prize for New Writers' is awarded to a new writer with the most promising future among writers, who released an excellent work from January 1 to December 31 of 2020. Besides 'Alternate,' Ashizawa You's 'Yogoreta Te wo Sokode Fukanai,' Takeda Ayano's 'Aisarenakute mo Betsu ni,' Tsujido Yume's 'Juu no Wa wo Kuguru,' and Terachi Haruna's 'Mizu wo Nuu' have been nominated for the award. 

The winner will be announced on March 2.
