RADWIMPS will be in charge of the theme song for 'Anata no Soba de Ashita ga Warau' that's scheduled to broadcast on March 6.
The drama is set in Ishinomaki City in Miyagi Prefecture 10 years after the Great East Japan Earthquake. It's a love story that revolves around a woman, who continues to wait for her missing husband, and an architect, who did not experience the disaster first hand. Producer Kitano Taku approached RADWIMPS with an offer to provide a song that would support the emotions that are hidden deep in the protagonist's heart. As such, the band came up with the song "Kakurenbo," which will be included in their album "2+0+2+1+3+1+1= 10 years 10 songs" to drop on March 11.
In addition, Kanno Yoko, who composed NHK's Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction aid song "Hana wa Saku" in 2012, will be in charge of the drama's music.
