Dean Fujioka and Iwata Takanori's (EXILE / Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS from EXILE TRIBE) 2019 drama 'Sherlock' will be getting a film adaptation titled 'The Hound of the Baskervilles Sherock The Movie' in 2022.
Based on Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Sherlock Holmes' series, the drama was a mystery entertainment set in present-day Japan. Dean played crime consultant Homare Shishio, and Iwata played former psychiatrist Wakamiya Junichi.
The upcoming film will be based on 'The Hound of the Baskervilles,' which is one of the most well-known novels in the 'Sherlock Holmes' series. This will be its first film adaptation in Japan. It will be directed by Nishitani Hiroshi, who also directed the drama series.
The wealthiest man in Japan dies shortly after he requests Homare and Wakamiya to search for the criminal who attempted to kidnap his daughter. To investigate the truth of his death, the two head to an island where people talk about a legend of a diabolical dog that attacks people.
