Iwahashi Genki, who left King & Prince and Johnny's & Associates last month, has joined Instagram.

Iwahashi shared photos of himself under the cherry blossoms explaining his reason for opening an Instagram account, "I received encouragement and support as well as kind and heartwarming messages from many people. All of your thoughts have reached my heart. I am blessed to have so many people thinking about me. I didn't know how to thank everyone, so I hope to give back little by little through Instagram."

He went on to talk about his condition, "My illness comes in waves. At times, I am fine to a certain extent. At other times, I become extremely anxious and scared. I had faced my illness to the best of my ability until now, but as you know, I haven't completely recovered from it.

To his fans, he expressed, "Thank you for always loving me. I've always caused you to worry, but your thoughts have always reached me. Thank you very much for supporting me over the past 11 years. Even though I will be taking a new path, I will continue to love everyone from the bottom of my heart."

About the King & Prince members, he said, "I think King & Prince is the best group in the world with wonderful members and wonderful fans. I am very happy to have met those members and made our debut with the six of us. I am just thankful." He also thanked his senpai and friends at Johnny's & Associates.

Finally, he wrote about the late Johnny Kitagawa, "Even though he was sick, he thought and worried about me. When Johnny-san passed away, I couldn't see with all the tears in my eyes. I had a really difficult time. I'll carve my memories with Johnny-san as well as everything that he's taught me into my heart, and do my best so that he can rest assured and watch over me from heaven.
