Kanjani8's new song "Hitori ni Shinai yo" will be used as the theme song for TV Asahi's new drama 'Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi' starring Yokoyama Yu. 

'Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi' is a heartwarming comedy that's based on a manga by Tsumura Mami. Yokoyama plays the role of an unpopular manga artist named Karino Shin. One day, a five-year-old boy named Sato Kotaro moves by himself into the room next door to Karino's. By meeting Kotaro, Karino and the other residents of their apartment complex realize the responsibility of being an adult and the importance of having compassion toward others. 

On Kanjani8 being in charge of the theme song, Yokoyama commented, "I feel reassured and very thankful that the theme song will be sung by Kanjani8." Written by Marutani Manabu, "Hitori ni Shinai yo" is described as a rhythmical and heartwarming song with a positive message to people of various generations. 

'Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi' is set to premiere on April 24.
