On April 13, Kanjiya Shihori's (35) agency announced that the actress has contracted COVID-19. 

They explained, "She took the PCR test after feeling uncomfortable in the early morning of April 10th. Then on the 11th, she was confirmed positive by the medical institution." She is currently recuperating and her condition is stable.

Kanjiya's agency apologized for the trouble and worry caused to all concerned persons as well as her fans. 

As a result of the positive diagnosis, the stage play 'Tsuki to Cinema -The Film on the Moon Cinema-' which was supposed to begin on April 17th has been canceled until the 28th.
