Matsumura Sayuri has announced that she will graduate from Nogizaka46 after completing all promotional work related to the group's 27th single (currently untitled) that's scheduled to drop on June 9.

This announcement was made on April 15 during the program 'Nama no Idol ga Suki' on Nico Nico Namahousou. With tears welling in her eyes, she said, "I believe the senbatsu members will be announced this weekend, but I will graduate from Nogizaka46 after our 27th single. I am very sorry." 

Matsumura revealed the moment she decided on her graduation, "It's actually quite some time ago, but there were a lot of members graduating, and there was one person that I wanted to send off. After that person graduated, I wanted to graduate myself."

She continued to express, "I hope to create fun memories with everyone as usual with the time that I have left. Nogizaka46's Matsumura Sayuri will almost come to an end, but please continue to support me until that day."

Matsumura is Nogizaka46's first-generation member that debuted in 2011. She was selected as the exclusive model for fashion magazine 'CanCam' 2015.
