On April 21, comedian Hamaguchi Masaru (49) and talent Minami Akina (31) announced via YouTube that they are expecting their first baby. 

At the beginning of the video, Hamaguchi stated, "We have an announcement as husband and wife. We have been blessed with a new life." Minami added, "We decided to let everyone know now that I've entered my fifth month and in my second trimester." 

Hamaguchi revealed, "Akina had no morning sickness. She is full of energy as if she is not pregnant," to which Minami responded, "Yes, I am doing very well." While they do not know the baby's sex yet, Hamaguchi shared, "I saw in the ultrasound once, and it looked like our child was shaking its butt. I wonder which it is! We are also looking forward to it..."

Finally, Minami said, "We were really hoping for a child for a long time, so I feel very happy." She plans to continue working while prioritizing her health and discussing with her agency. Hamaguchi expressed, "As we will be gaining a new family member, I have to work even harder. Everyone, please watch over us warmly." 

Hamaguchi and Minami's relationship was first reported in 2014. Soon after, the two confessed that they were dating. They tied the knot on May 25, 2018, and held their ceremony at Tokyo Disney Sea's Hotel Miracosta in September of 2019. Congratulations!
