It's been reported that six members of Johnny's Jr. group Travis Japan - Miyachika Kaito, Nakamura Kaito, Shimekame Ryuya, Yoshizawa Shizuya, Matsuda Genta, and Matsukura Kaito - and one manager have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Johnny's & Associates, Yoshizawa felt sick upon landing in Hokkaido for the group's scheduled concerts. His symptoms included fatigue and a fever of around 39°C (102.2°F). Out of precaution, they decided to cancel their concerts on April 26 and 27 at Sapporo Bunka Geijutsu Gekijou hitaru, which was a part of their tour 'Travis Japan Live Tour 2021 IMAGE NATION.'
After all members and managers conducted the PCR test, positive results came back for six members and one manager on April 28. Yoshizawa's symptoms have calmed down, and the other members are currently not experiencing any symptoms. They will continue to recuperate and observe their conditions under the guidance of the health center.
Consequently, the group's concerts on May 4 and 5 at Sendai Sun Plaza Hall, and May 8 and 9 at Nagoya Congress Center have also been canceled. "We are very sorry to everyone who had been looking forward to it, but we ask for your kind understanding," stated Johnny's.
Apparently, all Johnny's talent and staff were routinely tested every two to three weeks. After this incident, they will be conducting PCR tests prior to every scheduled performance.
