TOKIO has been appointed as the personality of NTV's new campaign 'Good For the Planet Week' which will take place from May 31 to June 6.
Through this campaign, NTV will challenge viewers to think about what they could do for the people, lifestyle, society, and future while focusing on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. With the theme "#今からスイッチ" (switch from right now), NTV will deliver programs that are "good for the future" and "good for the Earth."
TOKIO was chosen as the personality for this campaign as they have been involved in various projects on 'The Tetsuwan DASH!!' while making farming and fishery their lifework, and practicing things that are good for the Earth both publicly and privately. Matsuoka Masahiro commented, "One week is a short period, but I believe it's more important that people will come to learn through this. I hope that that by learning through this, people will use their own time afterwards to think about the SDGs. I hope that TOKIO will help make that happen."
