WANDS keyboardist Kimura Shinya has announced that he will be going on hiatus.
According to WANDS's official website, Kimura accumulated stress during the COVID-19 pandemic and had been suffering from poor mental and physical health. He had been active until now while watching his condition but had not shown any improvement. As such, he decided to take a hiatus in order to recover both mentally and physically.
Per Kimura's wishes, WANDS will continue their activities with Shibasaki Hiroshi (G) and Uehara Daishi (Vo). They will appear in the events 'JAPAN JAM 2021' on May 4 at Chiba-shi Soga Sports Park and 'Animelo Summer Live 2021 -COLORS-' on August 27 at Saitama Super Arena with a support member. Kimura will also not participate in the music video for "Canaria Naita Koro ni" which will be released as the band's new single on June 9.
