ONE OK ROCK have released their new digital single "Broken Heart of Gold" on May 28. 

"Broken Heart of Gold" is a medium-tempo ballad that was written as the theme song for 'Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning' that's scheduled to open in theaters on June 4. It was produced in England with Dan Lancaster, who also produced their hit song's "Taking Off" and "Eye of the Storm." The song's release was a surprise announcement that was made on May 27 during the band's YouTube Livestream.

In addition, it was announced that there will be an open call for music video submissions for "Broken Heart of Gold." Anybody can submit their work regardless of nationality or age. It may be in any form including live-action, animation, lyric video, etc. The winning work will be posted onto ONE OK ROCK's official YouTube channel, and its creator will be awarded 500,000 yen (approximately $4,500 USD) in cash prize. Submissions may be made between June 1 and 30 via its special website. The winner will be announced in early July. 

Finally, ONE OK ROCK will hold a series of acoustic lives called 'ONE OK ROCK 2021 ~Day to Night Acoustic Sessions~ at STELLAR THEATER' in July at Stellar Theater in Yamanashi. This will be their first time holding an acoustic live. You can check out the schedule below!
