Toda Erika and Nagano Mei will star in NTV's upcoming drama 'Hakozume ~Tatakau! Kouban Joshi~' to premiere in July. 

The drama will be based on Yasu Miko's popular comic 'Hakozume ~Kouban Joshi no Gyakushu~' that's being serialized in 'Morning.' Toda will play Fuji Seiko, who once was an ace detective but was transferred to a police box in the countryside. She is an exceptional police officer who says what's on her mind, but is lonely and has bad luck when it comes to love.

Fuji is assigned to work with a new officer named Kawai Mai (played by Nagano). Kawai is an airhead who is a bad cook and has a poor sense of style. Seeking a stable income, she became a police officer by chance. She had been thinking of quitting as she didn't find her job at the police box worth doing until she met Fuji. 

The drama's script will be written by Nemoto Nonji.
