On June 1, actress Hagiwara Minori announced via her Instagram account that she and film director Uchiyama Takuya have tied the knot.

The two started dating after Hagiwara starred in the movie 'Sasaki in My Mind' which was directed by Uchiyama. Through the highly commended film, Uchiyama won silver at the Kaneto Shindo Award for 2020, the New Director Award at the 30th Japan Movie Critics Award, and the New Director Award at the 42nd Yokohama Film Festival. 

On Instagram, Hagiwara shared a photo of herself and Uchiyama announcing, "I apologize that this is a personal matter, but I registered my marriage with film director Uchiyama Takuya-san the other day!" She reflected on her career and thanked everyone for their support over the years. "We are still inexperienced, but please continue to support the both of us. I hope that everyone and their loved ones will be happy today and always," she wrote.
