It's been announced that AKB48 member Mukaichi Mion has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement on AKB48's official blog, Mukaichi started having symptoms, including a fever and sore throat, on June 18th. She then conducted the PCR test at a medical facility and learned that she was positive for the virus. While she still has a low-grade fever, she is in stable condition, and will be self-isolating at home under guidance of the health center.

Consequently, all performances of her starring stage play 'Shin Atami Satsujin Jihen' have been cancelled until its concluding program on the 21st.
