Kashiwagi Yuki has announced that she will be taking a break from social media while undergoing treatment for a rare disorder called syringomyelia.

Kashiwagi said, "In order to treat my disorder, I will be taking a break from Twitter for awhile. Since this will be my first surgery, hospitalization, and later, rehabilitation, I am so anxious and feel like crying everyday, thinking, 'I want to get better, but I'm scared.' However, I will overcome it by thinking about how I have everybody's support. Please wait for me!!" She also announced that she will not be updating her YouTube channel and Instagram account for the time being. 

Kashiwagi received a thorough physical examination for the first time in her life for a segment for TV Tokyo's program 'Shujii ga Mitsukaru Shinryosho SP.' As she had suspected symptoms of syringomyelia, including numbness in her left fingers, she was examined further and was able to detect the condition at an early stage.
