Kansai Johnny's Jr. group Naniwa Danshi has been appointed as the 'high school baseball cheering team' to help hype up high school baseball during the summer season. Their song "Yume Watashi" will also be used as the '2021 ABC Summer High School Baseball Fight Song' and the 'Netto Koshien' theme song.

The '103rd Japanese High School Baseball Championship' will be held this August 9. Last year, the big event was cancelled due to the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the 'high school baseball cheering team,' Naniwa Danshi will cheer on the high school baseball players competing in the games.

Following Kanjani8's "Omoidama" (2014) and Arashi's "Natsu Hayate" (2018), Naniwa Danshi's "Yume Watashi" is the third song by a Johnny's artist to be used as the theme song for the 'Netto Koshien.' The seven members had to decide on the song's title themselves. In the beginning, they suggested key words such as "yume" (dream), "tsunagu" (to connect), "colorful," and "start." They decided on "Yume Watashi" after Fujiwara Joichiro explained, "For both Johnny's and high school baseball players, our duty is to pass on dreams to our kohai [juniors]. Also, each person has their 'my' dream."
