Foorin's 'Paprika' project will reach its grand finale on September 27. On this day, all members of Foorin, Foorin team E, and Foorin Gakudan will graduate.
"Paprika" was written, composed, and produced by Yonezu Kenshi as a "project to support all people doing their best towards 2020 and beyond." The choreography for this song was done by Tsujimoto Tomohiko and Sugawara Koharu. Since its release in 2018, the friendliness of the song and dance has been loved by children across Japan. A group that was formed to sing this song, Foorin won the '61st Japan Record Awards' in 2019 as the youngest artist to win this award, and appeared in the '71st NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen.'
The other day, a new music video for "Paprika" directed by Okuyama Hiroshi was uploaded onto YouTube. Besides Foorin, it featured appearances by Foorin team E, a five-member group of native English-speaking children, and Foorin Gakudan, a group comprised of children with illness and disabilities.
On September 27, NHK E-Tele will broadcast a special program called 'Ashita ni Tane wo Makou! LIVE' which will mark Foorin's last performance.
