It's been announced that 'LOVE POCKET FUND,' a foundation run by Atarashii Chizu and The Nippon Foundation, will be donating 163,290,000 yen toward coronavirus relief efforts.
'LOVE POCKET FUND' is a foundation that was established in April of last year to support women, children, the elderly, and local revitalization. However, as the foundation's establishment overlapped with the COVID-19 pandemic, they have been working toward relief efforts for the time being.
The funds this time will be donated to 34 hospitals across Japan to purchase medical devices, such as ventilators and other medical supplies.
'LOVE POCKET FUND' had originally set their fundraising period to end on September 30, but as COVID-19 continues to spread, they have extended it to March 31 of next year.
