miwa will be providing the theme song for the movie 'Sori no Otto' ('First Gentleman') that's slated to open in theaters on September 23. 

Starring Tanaka Kei and Nakatani Miki, 'Sori no Otto' portrays the tumultuous days of Soma Hiyori, a friendly ornithologist and his wife Rinko, who becomes the first-ever female prime minister of Japan. miwa will provide her song "Ai wo Tou" as the movie's theme song. She commented, "It's a work that portrays a woman with a strong core, so I feel honored to be in charge of its theme song. I've written several songs while taking a look at the works, but I was asked [by the producer] to 'challenge a new territory that is not found in miwa's songs until now,' so ultimately, it turned out to be a strong tie-up."
