On July 28th, Yoshimoto Kogyo announced that Shizu-chan (42), also known as Yamazaki Shizuyo, of comedian duo Nankai Candies has tested positive for COVID-19. She was also diagnosed with the virus back in January, which makes this her second time contracting the virus. 

According to Yoshimoto Kogyo, Shizu-chan took a simple PCR test ahead of a TV program recording. Her result came back positive, so was re-examined at a hospital where they confirmed she has COVID-19 again. 

According to the health center, the illness onset date is the 25th. She will be recuperating under their guidance. 

The other half of Nankai Candies, Yama-chan, also known as Yamasato Ryota (44), is not considered to be a person of close contact at this time.
